You need percentages all the time: sale discounts, VAT, pay rises, interest comparisons or price changes. This calculator covers all three basic tasks – you no longer need the formulas in your head.
Percentage value = base value × rate ÷ 100. Example: 20% of 150 = 150 × 20 ÷ 100 = 30.
Rate = percentage value ÷ base value × 100. Example: 30 of 150 = 30 ÷ 150 × 100 = 20%.
Change in % = (new value − old value) ÷ old value × 100. Example: from 150 to 180 = (180 − 150) ÷ 150 × 100 = +20%.
